Martin Villalobos Junior, 27, has since been arrested and transported to Barton County Jail, officers confirmed. The post stated that the suspect had once lived at the residence but there was “currently a protection from abuse order issued against him to stay away from the property.”
Despite being unable to locate Villalobos Junior after searching the area on the evening he was found under the bed, officers continued to look for him the following morning.
“The suspect was seen in the 2000 block of Patton Road at which point he attempted to flee from law enforcement. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was captured,” the police post stated.
Officers confirmed the suspect had been “booked on requested charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, child endangerment, felony obstruction of a law enforcement officer and violation of a protection from abuse order.”
Villalobos Junior is “being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond,” police said.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond when contacted by PEOPLE for additional information.
